Hello! My name is Jeannette Del Angel (Hernandez) and I am the face behind Sucré!

I am a wife, mama to two littles, Corpus Christi native, and food is most definitely my love language. I’ve had a passion for cooking, baking, and pastry for as long as I can remember. Over the past twelve years, I’ve experienced some incredible opportunities to learn from and work with amazing chefs in Corpus Christi, Austin and San Antonio, ultimately earning the title of Executive Pastry Chef. Since moving back to Corpus Christi, I’ve had the privilege of filling the role of baker at a couple local bakeries. I have recently had the esteemed honor of helping develop and open a wonderful Waterstreet Restaurants Concept: Central Kitchen- a local scratch made bakery.

I decided it was time to begin my next adventure in baking and start Sucré, which is the French adjective “sugared.” Isn’t life so much more enjoyable when you make it a little sweeter? I think it’s safe to say it’s scary to take a leap of faith and branch out on your own. Rather than invest in a store front, I’ve chosen to bake from home as a cottage baker. My time with my family is precious to me and I cherish the opportunity to do what I love around the ones I love most.

Why do I love baking? There’s just something so fun about mixing simple ingredients and watching it grow into a delicate, delicious masterpiece. Oh and it smells AND tastes good too! Not to mention the smiles it brings to those you love!

I’m VERY excited (and nervous) about this new journey and deeply appreciate all of you who decide to follow me along the way. I can’t wait to bake for you!
